Science Fair Project Success Night- Expo Hall at Puyallup Fair Grounds:
Jan. 10th at 6:30PM, Would you like to do a science fair project but just don’t know how to get started? Maybe you have done one before and found it frustrating? Well, this night’s for you!
An informational night has been designed especially for parents and their students to support and encourage science fair project success. The basic how-to’s, display tips, suggestions and rules will be shared. Information will also be presented about new requirements for working journals. We look forward to seeing you.
Working with someone else.
You may work on your project independently, or you may work with a partner who is also a student at Wildwood Elementary, for example, a classmate or a sibling. Only indicvidual projects may compete in The Puyallup School District Science Fair. Teams or individuals may participate in the South Sound Regional Science Fair Websitehttp://plu.edu/~scifair/about-fair/home.html
Supplies available
There are Poster boards available for $5 each and also notebooks and free posters to students with financial need. Please contact your teacher if you need assistance or would like to purchase a board.
Judging and awards.
Our science fair is non-competitive, as our goal is simply to encourage scientific exploration and discovery and promote a deep lifelong passion for science. Each participant will have an opportunity to briefly present their project to a judge, and they will each receive a ribbon for participation. 15 students will be chosen to participate in the Puyallup District Science Fair on April 20th 2013.
Volunteers needed!
A big event like the science fair wouldn't be possible without the help of numerous volunteers. We have all kinds of different jobs to be done, so if think you can spare an hour or two on the day of the fair, we would love your help. Please contact Laura Beste at lbeste@q.com and sign up now!
